Thunderbird Freezing on Fedora 41
- Will try to run in safe mode first: thunderbird --safe-mode
- Things are going smoothly, no freezing now!
- Disabling hardware acceleration in settings.
- Closing Thunderbird.
- Seems to have solved my problem! :)
I recently switched from Reddit to Lemmy based on a comment I read on r/selfhosted asking how r/thedonald can selfhost but r/selfhosted can't. I found this so ironic that I slowly moved towards Lemmy, deleted my Reddit, and began to learn how to better selfhost
Is it just me or is everything feeling more and more like slop? All the big social media sites, Reddit, Youtube, Lemmy, Mastodon, even some of my feeds are just boring. Seems to me it's time to let go of these methods of entertainment. Leaving Reddit for Lemmy
1. Go to Network then interfaces 1. Choose which Eth# it is on. 2. Uncheck that Eth port out from the lan interface. 1. I believe the ports and Eth# may not 100% the same. 3. Make a new interface for your device and add that Eth#. 4. Protocol: Static
With the online privacy becoming more and more important is sharing our thoughts online safe? I enjoy the hobby of selfhosting a lot but want to keep my data private. I guess that is part of selfhosting though, control over my own data.
